Kristin Rush Kristin Rush has been in Australian Shepherds for 17 years and competes in conformation, herding, obedience, and agility. She is also a Senior Breeder Judge. Kristin became involved with ASHGI after a couple of dogs she produced began having seizures. She is not one to sit back and let things slide, so she began asking lots of questions about epilepsy. She discovered there where not a lot of answers out there. To address that need she started a grass-roots movement that evolved into ASHGI’s AussieGENES program. AussieGENES (Genetic Epilepsy Network and Education Service) was formed to educate the fancy about the problem in our breed and to provide support for those that own or have bred affected dogs.
