Thor, Foxwood’s Blue Haze CD TD SAR, was Kim Monti’s wilderness search partner and her heart dog. She lost him at 12½ to hemangiosarcoma, the most common cancer in Australian Shepherds.
Kim and her husband, Michael Gates, have made a generous donation to ASHGI to cover sample collection and shipping costs for those with financial hardships who wish to have their dogs included in the hemangiosarcoma and lymphoma studies being conducted by Matthew Breen (North Carolina State University) and Jaime Modiano (Minnesota State University.)
